What is SU Advantage?

SU Advantage is an innovative online educational programme created by the Stellenbosch University Centre for Pedagogy to strengthen the high school learning experience.

Our learning programmes are designed to complement traditional schooling by giving learners access to consolidated lesson content and resources across 11 subjects - using a combination of short-form animated videos, live lessons and more.

All learning material has been developed in-line with national annual teaching plans for FET phase learners, preparing them for the great leap into tertiary and higher learning!

1Is SU Advantage an online school?
No. SU Advantage is an online supplementary education tool. This means that it is not meant to replace mainstream schooling. Instead, the focus is on enhancing key concepts that learners have been exposed to in a traditional classroom.
2What resources do I get on SU Advantage?
Learners get access to live lessons, consolidated short form lessons, online quizzes, workbooks, past papers and much more! You’ll also get access to a handy dashboard that ensures you are always on track with what you need to do to stay on top of your school work.
3How can I trust the quality of your learning material?
We ensure that our subject material is aligned with the national annual teaching plans (CAPS-Aligned) using the latest pedagogical principles. In addition to this, all our lessons and assessments are created by leading subject experts with many years of experience in their respective fields.
4What if I need individual help with some topics?
No problem. All learners on SU Advantage enjoy access to tutors that can be contacted through support on the platform. They are able to assist you with any educational questions you might have in order to better understand the work you need to know to achieve your academic goals!
